SYDNEY, Apr. 18–Toni Venhaus, organizer of the Sydney CDI3*, the only one Down Under each year:

“Think positive thoughts that the dust settles in Europe in time to allow our judges to fly to Australia.”

Only one of the four ‘O’ judges for the Sydney CDI from Apr. 29 through May is scheduled from Europe, Wim Ernes of The Netherlands.

Maribel Alonso of Mexico, and Axel Steiner of the USA will bypass the dust by flying across the Pacific. Mary Seefried of Australia will be in the U.S. at the World Equestrian Games test event in Lexington, Kentucky Apr. 20-22.

Stephen Clarke of Great Britain and Wotjek Markowski of Poland will also be in Lexington. If transatlantic flights are still disrupted, maybe one of the Europeans could go home via Sydney.
